How are LPs selling?

New York Times author, Allan Kozinn, recently published an article which examines the growth of record sales and how “vinyl is growing out of its niche.” Kozinn uses the success of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories and the “growing number of classic albums” (albums getting repressed or remastered) as examples of how the record industry is not only surviving, but growing. Although most of this information isn’t exactly breaking news to record collectors or music enthusiasts, the article provides great insight as to why the industry is growing.

Check out the full article, “Weaned on CDs, They’re Reaching for Vinyls” featured on The New York Times here.

Author Description

My record collecting began in 2008 when I purchased my first 7", The Wonder Years - "Wont be Pathetic Forever". From that point on, I was a devoted fan and collector of all these Wonder Years, but more importantly, I developed my love for record collecting. My current collection contains a bunch of hardcore and pop punk records but more recently I've been interested in house, garage, grime, and dubstep. If you would like to talk music or have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a message here or on Twitter.
