Saint Marie Records will release Spotlight Kid’s Ten Thousand Hours on vinyl, May 4th.
Ten Thousand Hours is the third album by the English shoegaze five piece, Spotlight Kid. The album was originally released on CD/Digital in March 2014 and will now be available on vinyl courtesy of Saint Marie Records on May 4th.
Every track is soaked in melody and atmosphere layering Katty Heath’s voice, much bolder and upfront this time, against pounding drums, bass, shimmering guitars and keys. Produced by Todd Howe who can also be found playing guitar in The Boxer Rebellion. He has helped add a coherent sense to the whole album, which was written and recorded in several studios, including their own basement studio in Nottingham over last year. -Saint Marie Records
Ten Thousand Hours will be pressed on 180g white vinyl housed inside thick/retro cardstock and is limited to 250 copies. The special limited edition version comes with a bonus 7″ that features a cover of Slowdive’s “Joy” and limited to only 30 copies.
