For the first time in more than 30 years, Light in the Attic Records will reissue an album titled L’Amour that was recorded by an artist called Lewis.
L’Amour was a private press album that was recorded in 1983 by an artist names Lewis. The album was released on a label called R.A.W. and that’s pretty much all anybody ever knew about it.
The record itself is a delicate, whispered album, reflecting the way the artist himself – spectral, movie star-like – almost disappears into the grey of the cover. It should come as no surprise that it failed to shout loudly enough to be noticed, another private press album that sank without trace. -Light In The Attic
Light in the Attic will reissue L’Amour on vinyl and be widely distributed for the first time ever. It will be limited to 2000 pcs in the following colors:
- Black – 1,300 pcs
- Grey – 200 pcs (LITA Vinyl Subscriber Exclusive)
- Clear – 400 pcs (LITA.net Pre-order Exclusive)
- Romantic Red – 100 (LITA Shop Exclusive)
L’Amour’s sound is as mysterious as its origin, and it wasn’t until LITA decided to reissue the peculiar album that they realized how little was known about the artist named Lewis.
