Daughn Gibson – Carnation // Sub Pop [Colored Vinyl]

Daughn Gibson will release his new album, Carnation, via Sub Pop on June 2nd.

Daughn Gibson’s Carnation is his third solo album and follow-up to 2013’s Me Moan. It’s out on June 2nd via Sub Pop. The album was self produced at Seattle, WA’s Avast Studios with the help of Earth/Sunn O)))’s Randall Dunn.

Shot through with a deep sensuality, Carnation is a high-wire balancing act, at times sexual, emotionally intense and comforting. The album features Daughn’s strongest songwriting yet, with lyrical subject matter that shares a kinship with writers Raymond Carver and Donald Ray Pollack. -Sub Pop

If you pre-order Carnation via the Sub Pop Mega Mart, you’ll score the LOSER EDITION on Clear w/ White, Black & Blue colored vinyl, while supplies last.

Author Description

My vinyl obsession began with a few records that were given to me as a gift. Little did I know that this was the spark that would merge my impulsive habit of collecting things and love for music into my new passion. My claim to fame? Owning all of The Mars Volta's studio releases, including the infamous 'Frances the Mute' album pressed on glow-in-the-dark vinyl. I'm always on the lookout for the new stuff and lovingly embrace the classic stuff. I'm here to help you be on the forefront of this vinyl resurgence. Give me a shout on twitter!
